READ BEFORE YOU PLACE AN ORDER and Avoid Costly Returns, Ensure Compatibility

  • Why It Matters? Chevrolet generators from 1955–1962 were produced with two different case sizes: 6” and 7”. This product #R-9005 is specifically for the Higher Amp (30-38 amps) with 7” case.
  • How To Measure? To confirm fitment, measure only the length of the generator case itself. Do Not Include the front or rear end plates in your measurement, as these can vary and may lead to incorrect sizing.
  • What If You Don’t Have A Generator To Measure? Then you can measure the bracket opening that will hold the generator in place. See image if needed.
  • Result: If your vehicle requires a 7” case, this generator will be compatible. If it requires a 6” case, you’ll need (#R-9010 12V with 6” case)

**What Does “Rebuildable” Mean?    We need your fully intact generator core because during refurbishment, some parts of the generator will be reused, while others will require cleaning, replacement, or repainting. The process involves identifying which components are suitable for reuse, cleaning and replacing parts as needed, and finally, repainting the generator as the last step to restore its appearance. Our goal is to ensure that, once the process is complete, the generator will look and perform as well as the generator you received, and will be ready for the next customer in need of a high quality, “Refurbished in the USA” generator.

LIMITED AVAILABILTYIN SOME CASES, WE MAY NEED TO REBUILD YOUR ORIGINAL GENERATOR. IF WE DO NOT HAVE A CORE ON HAND, THEN WE WILL NEED YOU TO SEND US YOUR GENERATOR. YOU CAN CALL LARRY @ 800-944-0494 IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.

This will also add the following products to your cart:

  • CORE - $150.00
