FUSIBLE LINK

$5.25

What is a Fusible Link?
A fusible link is a short piece (9.5 – 10.5″ long) of insulated low-voltage wire, attached to your vehicle or tractor wiring harness. The piece of Fusible Link should be 4 sizes smaller (or 2 AWG sizes smaller) than power feed wire. It is designed to protect the wire harness in applications in an current overload situation. The conductor within the link melts, while the flame and spark only affect that short piece of fusible link and not your entire wiring harness.

What are the ratings for fusible links?
Fusible links are not Amp Rated. They are for surge protection only! They are designed to meet specific circuit protection requirements.

Our GM Fusible Link9.5″ and the Ford Fusible Link is 10.5″. Our Fusible Link comes with a piece of Heat Shrink to protect your bare wires.

CAUTION: DO NOT SUBSTITUTE ORDINARY WIRE FOR FUSIBLE LINKS. DO NOT REPLACE FUSES WITH FUSIBLE LINK WIRE.
