- Make sure surface is clean of rust and corrosion when mounting starter
- Your tractor must have a good working generator and ammeter
- Install all components and wiring as shown
When you are ready to start the tractor, it is necessary in some cases to polarize your generator. This is done by running the engine at a faster speed and momentarily jump between D+ and B+ on regulator. CAUTION: Regulator must be grounded at mounting base. Body of regulator CANNOT TOUCH ANYTHING!
